Summer 2025
In the summer of 2025, the year I turned 50, I set out to chase a new kind of adventure—a cyclo-touring expedition across Eastern Europe. After paddling thousands of kilometers in my sea kayak, running the distance of the Earth’s equator over the past two decades, and climbing some of the highest peaks on this planet, one dream still called to me: to explore new lands by bike. So I geared up, trained hard, packed my bags, and rolled out in June 2025 on a 2000 kilometer odyssey through the Eastern Alps, a journey that would test my endurance, feed my curiosity, and remind me why I never stopped moving!
